My Special Family

I've been reminded so much lately how blessed I am with such a wonderful family! I've had these little every day, non-spectacular moments that have left their stamp on my heart. I'll just be watching something as simple as Brandon holding Sophie or Brock and Sadie playing together or look over at Bailey in the car and realize she's growing up into this beautiful (on the inside and out) girl and I feel that squeeze in my chest and my eyes tear up, and my heart is full of gratitude to my Father in Heaven for the miracle that is my family. I don't mean to come across as bragging, I'm just grateful, and felt the need to write it down, and this is the only journal-type thing I keep. It's just that my Family is the biggest blessing in my life. Brandon is the most wonderful husband in the world to me. He's sweet, thoughtful, and generous, he makes me laugh and he is truly my best friend. I have more fun with him than anyone in the world. He supports our family so that I can stay at home with my four beautiful children. There is nothing that I would rather be doing. I'm grateful to be a wife and mother. Brandon is so sweet with these adorable, healthy kids of ours. He's such a great daddy.

Sometimes these little things happen, moments that I feel true joy in my children. I was hanging up some clothes in my closet the other night when Bailey came into the bathroom and struck a pose in her jammies and slippers. Two seconds later Sophie came in and did the same. Bailey had been playing with her all night. Got her Jammies on her, reading books, giggling and chasing, the whole thing. She's such a wonderful big sister to her little sisters and brother. She's a terrific example to them. The Lord sure knew what he was doing when he sent me Bailey first! I'm so grateful for healthy kids, for happy kids. Each one is a miracle in my life.
